Calm - 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training
To become a yoga teacher is journey of self-exploration. Modern yoga is ever evolving and it is our aim to create intelligent teachers that develop their own voice while maintain connection to the roots of yoga.
Individuals that can guide and support students through their practice and become facilitators of their students learning. We believe that yoga teaching isn’t about creating a sequence of poses for people to learn, rather to guide students through a journey of mindful movement allowing them to discover their bodies along side the contemplative aspects of yoga.
What will the course cover?
Calm Yoga Teacher training will cover a broad range of learning including:
- Anatomy and Physiology of Yoga
- Yoga technique, teaching, training and practice
- Yoga History
- Philosophy of Yoga and Lifestyle Ethics
- An overview of Mindfulness
- Chakras, Nadis and Koshas, Kleshas
- Teaching Yoga and teaching Methodology
- Business of Yoga
We are looking for committed students who have a regular practice of 2 years or more. We will however review it on a case by case basis so do get in touch if you are unsure.
Location: All of our training will be held at our beautiful studio in Burton on Trent (please see location on website) The studio is in the town centre so perfect for access to shops etc. in lunch breaks.
Accreditation: This Course is accredited by Yoga Alliance US and our teachers are yoga alliance registered.
- Our lead teacher is Holly Warren:
Holly Warren is a life long student of Yoga. Her ability to convey movement dialogue in an accessible and intelligent way comes from her eclectic background as a professional contemporary dancer, leadership development facilitator and international retreat teacher. She integrates these threads into her teaching alongside yoga nidra and mindfulness. Holly has over 1600hrs teacher training experience. She acknowledges her parents for their non-dogmatic introduction to the ethics and pillars of Yoga.
Our other leading teacher is studio owner Vanessa Davies (feel free to call in at the studio anytime to meet her for a chat as she is there most days!)
Vanessa Davies: found her love of yoga through desperately trying to find ease in her tight and tired muscles when marathon training. With 9 years of teaching experience in schools behind her, she craved freedom and creativity and decided to make a change. In moving to Australia her love of yoga continued and it was here she decided to combine her skills as a teacher with her love of yoga. Now successful studio owner and yoga teacher you will find Vanessa sharing her passion for yoga and mindfulness here at Calm, Burton on Trent.
£2995 (6 month payment plan available, to be taken via direct debit, 4 further payments of £500 per month and a final payment of £495 to clear the balance).

This is a 6 month training course starting with a week intensive, followed by weekends.
9.00 – 18:00pm hours all teaching days.
